@ SCC House Churches:
At Seaside Community Church, the way that we "do church" may look a little different than church services that you're used to.  But that's because it seems to us that "church" was meant to be
so much more than just a service!

Take a look at one example of how the Bible describes what "church" was like back at the very beginning of it:

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

- Acts 2:44-47, NIV

That's why our SCC House Churches exist: to provide a time and place each week when we can meet in smaller gatherings to "be family" like Acts describes.

A typical SCC House Church gathering meets in the home of a church member, and last for one hour.  The first 25 minutes of a House Church are used for fellowship (sometimes with good!) where we simply "catch up" with each other, share prayer requests, take time to pray for any needs that people mention, and share anything that's been especially meaningful to us in our daily Bible readings from the past week.

After that fellowship time, Pastor Matt teaches a 20-30 minute interactive sermon about the Bible passage for the day.  Then we close our time together by celebrating communion and sharing any important announcements.

We current have House Churches that meet on Sundays at 9:30am, 11:15am, and 6:30pm in a variety of locations.  To connect with one near you, contact us!

@SCC Celebration Worship Services
On Wednesday nights, we hold 30-minute Celebration Worship Services from 7pm-7:30pm at the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside (986 Hilby Avenue), when our House Churches come together to worship God as one church family.
Our services begin with a short time of prayer, followed by 15-20 minutes of contemporary worship music led by our SCC band.
Pastor Matt then teaches a sermon, and we often have a time of fellowship with food thereafter (for those able to stay).
For specific times and locations of services that are happening this week, visit our Service Times page.

We currently have House Churches that meet at 9:30am, 11:15am and 6:30pm in a variety of locations.
